As you can see this hasn't happened.
Anyway......
Anyone tell me what's wrong with this advert?
and I'm not even being picky about the punctuation.......there's just one word in this advert that I really object to and its the reason I wouldn't hire them. Can you guess what it is?
Er, slim?! I mean, why?
ReplyDeleteSlim? It's got to be either that or 'stimulus'.
ReplyDeleteClearly, writing well is not one of her many qualifications.
ReplyDeleteI suppose that since she is slim education didn't strike her as a firm necessity.
(And who is she expecting to hire her? The fathers? If she really wants a nanny job, mayhap she should develop a chocolate truffle habit.)
Not to even get into the wacky 'even worse than Comic Sans' font, I'd guess it was the fact she felt the need to include the 'slim' factoid. Why relevant? I hope she hasn't taught her previous charges about the importance of one's body shape when looking for a job.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that like me everyone else thought that 'slim' was a totally irrelevant attribute. It's not Guardian Soulmates love.....
ReplyDeleteAlso I'd be less likely to hire a nanny who is slimmer than me because Jude Law and everything.
ReplyDeleteI so know someone who would advertise herself like that as a nanny. Slim. WTF!
ReplyDeleteI personally would only hire a nanny who was at least a couple of sizes bigger than me! What a weird thing to put in an advert.
ReplyDeleteAt least she did not write GSOH.
ReplyDeleteLCM x
I was going to say 'slim' too - but am too late. Am off to stuff my face with french bread and cheese in protest at her fattist attitude. Or maybe I was just going to do that anyway?
