Troutie:Not Dead ...... Just Different

Call me irresponsible.......................

I haven’t been around much lately because I’ve discovered audiobooks and tapestry and I’ve been in bed most nights by 9pm.

I know. It’s not really what you’d expect from a girl like me. Well, I have my reasons; here’s how it happened…

1 night out at Belgo’s
Several litres of booze
0 condoms in the drawer
Two people who thought it was unlikely they could conceive two days after her period had finished.
Result = 1 baby expected in September

Over the short time I've been blogging I've come to live by two blogging rules.

1) To be honest about what's going on
2) To try to keep my blog lighthearted and cheerful

I hope you can forgive me for my long absence. Now the secret is out I shall try to blog more. For the time being though, I'm a bit peeky, so I hope you don't mind if I go back to bed with my tapestry?

  1. OMG!
Let me be the first to congratulate you and say woo hoo!

  2. Congratulations - maybe you can do knitting in bed for new baby now instead of tapestry?

  3. oh tut, tut! Like the scouts say, always be prepared!

Ach well, congrats on the spud!

  4. Congrats - I think that is terrific news!

    love your blog !!!
So glad that real life has gotten in the way of it, however...
Look forward to reading about morning sickness ;)

  6. audio books and lying in bed sound wonderful to me!

  7. Having 2 x 20 month old toddlers I would strongly recommend spending as much time in bed as possible.... although that is of course what may have put you in your current situation. Congrats.

  8. ooh congraulations. Hope the feeling peeky soon passes.

  9. Oh my goodness! Only just seen this!!

Slightly disturbed by the tapestry but preg-hormones make you do funny things so I will forgive you.

    Missed you!

  10. congrats - I am expecting a September babe too!

  11. Congrats. Feeling a bit jealous of the 9pm bed times with audio books and tapestry, and then feeling a bit aghast at how much I like the sound of that sort of evening. x

  12. Oh wow!

Congrats! I know it's exhausting, but it's wonderful too. Good luck!
